Job Position: Program Assistant, part-time, temporary

Location: Bay

Responsible To: Outreach Regional Coordinator

General Responsibilities: Provide telephone and visitor services for Earned Income Tax Credit program and the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing program in Bay County.

Specific Duties:

  • Routing telephone calls and visitors to correct program area.
  • Handle telephone calls in a professional manner and take complete messages including completing required program intake information.
  • Schedule appointments for the volunteer tax preparer.
  • Complete required reporting for the Earned Income Tax Credit Program mandated by grant.
  • Complete client intake application for Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP).
  • Greet visitors and walk-ins, secure necessary information in a professional manner.
  • Maintain current knowledge of agency programs and resources available in the community.
  • Type and file documents letters, reports, etc., as requested
  • Computer data entry.
  • Participate in personal and professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Must posses a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Shall protect the privacy of customers and hold in confidence all information obtained in the course of professional service.
  • Demonstrated communication skills both oral and written.
  • Successful clearance of DHS Central Registry, criminal history record check.
  • Must be self-directed and able to coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and be willing to accept new challenges on a daily basis.
